According to the Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association (TSIA) and the International Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the output value of Taiwan’s IC industry will grow 17.7% from last year to REACH NT $4.8 trillion (the same below).According to statistics, the output value of Taiwan’S IC industry broke through 4 trillion yuan for the first time in 2021, reaching 4.08 trillion yuan, a record high, under the condition that semiconductor capacity is in short supply and orders are booming. In the fourth quarter of 2021, The output value of Taiwan’s IC industry grew 1.9 percent quarter-on-quarter to rmb1106 billion, up 25.4 percent year-on-year, continuing to hit a record quarterly output.Analysis pointed out that the first quarter is the traditional slow season for the semiconductor market, but due to the shortage of chips, Taiwan’S IC industry is expected to have a slow season in 2022.Global demand for semiconductor capacity is expected to continue until 2023.TSIA estimates that the output value of Taiwan’s IC industry will grow another 17.7% to $4,806.2 billion this year, continuing to hit a record high.IC design industry output value increased by 14.0% to 1,384.8 billion yuan;IC manufacturing output value increased 22.3% year to 2,726.4 billion yuan.Source: Xinhua
